The first phase of the facelift at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport's domestic terminal has been completed and is now open to passengers.

Amber Dubey, CEO of AERO at Adani Airport Holdings (AAHL), along with Rahul Bhatkoti, the Chief Airport Officer, inaugurated the upgraded facility on 11 February, 2026, marking a key milestone in the airport's ongoing development efforts. The terminal's canopy expansion is planned in three phases, with phase one now finished, while work on the remaining phases will begin soon. The domestic terminal, originally designed to accommodate 1.3 million passengers, is currently handling nearly double that capacity. The revamped terminal promises a more modern, comfortable, and seamless travel experience. 

Additionally, a Rs 600-crore airside expansion at Terminal 2 is in progress, further enhancing the airport’s infrastructure to meet growing demand.
