Haier Appliance India is set to roll out an investment plan of Rs 3,500 crore to set up its third manufacturing facility in the country, with locations being considered in the southern or western regions.
The company expects to finalise plans by next year and will fund the project through internal accruals. Currently operating two facilities in Greater Noida and Pune, Haier is also focusing on expanding its air conditioner manufacturing capacity to four million units annually by 2027. This move targets the rapidly growing AC segment, which has only about 11 percent penetration, aiming to raise its market share from seven percent to 18 percent by 2030.
Haier India expects revenues of Rs 11,000 crore by the end of 2025 and has set a target of Rs 14,500 crore for 2026, driven by air conditioners, LED TVs, washing machines, and refrigerators. The company recently launched its Gravity AI Series AC, manufactured locally, reinforcing self-reliance, efficiency, and faster availability for Indian consumers.
