Saransh Architects has launched Akshatam Housing series at Palanpur in Gujarat. The housing project has been developed as a series of four projects and has a built-up area of 6,74,000 sq ft. It consists of two- to four-bedroom houses and bungalows.
All these projects are located in different localities of Palanpur, but follow the same concept -- that of allowing a majority of the apartment dwellers in the city a house of their own.

Akshatam-1 has a central open space divided by the main road with the community space in one-half and a community temple with a garden in another. Every road junction is proposed with recharging wells for rainwater harvesting.
Akshatam-2 is designed to take care of all rainwater drainage from the plots to the central spinal road which works like a water duct, draining the water from the front of the plot to the river at the end.

Akshatam-3 is a much larger scheme with almost 200 homes, located off a busy highway. The layout revolves around three spaces with a large space at the entrance, lined with trees to create a sound barrier for the main housing units, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere.
Akshatam-4 is planned next to a medical project and has around 100 four-bedroom houses. It comprises a club house with ample facilities, including a movie theatre. The project provides ample space for car parking, spacious courtyards with trees and plants to keep it cool and airy, and pergolas that create shaded walkways for residents.
