L&T has secured Rs 651 crore orders for two hydrocarbon projects.
L&T bagged a Rs 440 crore order from HPCL-Mittal Energy Ltd (HMEL) to build a
Greenfield refinery project at Bathinda in Punjab. The HMEL project is expected
to be executed by the Construction Business Unit of L&T's E&C Division. The
scope of work includes construction of electro-mechanical sections for seven
process units for the
Guru Gobind Singh Refinery project. The process units comprise motor spirit
block, diesel hydrotreater, delayed coker unit, vacuum gas oil hydro treater,
FCC unit, poly propylene unit and LPG units. The project is slated to be
completed in 17 months.
The second order worth Rs 211 crore has been awarded by Engineers India for
the supply and construction of a reactor and regenerator system for the
Fludized Catalytic Cracking unit of Managalore Refinery & Petrochemicals.
This order is to be executed jointly by the Construction Business Unit and
the Heavy Engineering Division. The order includes supply and erection of
reactor, regenerator and orifice chamber with structural, refractory lined
piping works including painting, insulation & refractory works for the FCC unit
for Phase III of the project, which is to be completed in 24 months.
