L&T has won two orders worth a total Rs 853 crore.
The first order valued at Rs 364 crore is from UP Rajya Vidyut Utpadam Nigam
Ltd (UPRVUNL) for setting up a coal handling plant at Anpara in Uttar Pradesh.
UPRVUNL is setting up Stage D,
2x500 MW Anpara thermal power project under expansion scheme which is set to
complete in 31 months.
Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) awarded a contract worth Rs 489 crore for
setting up
coal handling plant at Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. NLC is setting up 2x500 MW
project at Tuticorin. This greenfield project is being developed by a JV of NLC
& Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. The Unit I of the project is scheduled for
completion in 29 months and Unit II in 33 months.
L&T’s scope of work for these two contracts includes basic & detail
engineering; supply, erection of mechanical, electrical & instrumentation works;
complete civil & structural works; and testing & commissioning. The projects are
to be implemented by the Metallurgical Material Handling & Water Operating
Company of L&T's ECC Division.
