PFC Consulting, a subsidiary of PFC has reportedly formed two SPVs for
executing two more ultra mega power projects (UMPPs) in Orissa.
The company has formed SPVs for executing UMPPs at Saakhi Gopal and
Gogarpalli sites in Orissa. The names of the SPVs are --- Saakhi Gopal
Integrated Power Company and Gogarpalli Integrated Power Company.
The SPVs will be responsible for identifying land for the projects, check
water availability, secure environment and forest clearance and coal linkages.
The RFQs for the projects are to be expected after one year as the land
acquisition, coal linkage and environment clearance takes time.
