Chhattisgarh Surguja Power (CSPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of PFC has
invited RFQs from prospective developers for setting up of a 4,000 MW power
project near Salka-Khameria villages in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh on BOO
basis.
The project includes establishment, operation and maintenance of a 4,000 MW
Coal fired pit head power project including the transportation of coal from the
allocated mines in Hasdeo-Arand coal fields located about 25 km from the project
site. Last date of submission of RFQ is 3 May 2010.
The Union Ministry of Power has launched an initiative for development of
coal based Ultra Mega Power Projects, each with a capacity of about 4,000 MW.
These projects will be awarded to developers on the basis of tariff based
competitive bidding.
