Madras Cements has drawn up a Rs 800-crore investment plan to increase the
manufacturing capacity of its Ariyalur plant in Tamil Nadu.
The company expects to raise the capacity at Ariyalur from two to 4.5 million
tonne by April 2011. The company also proposes to set up a 65 MW coal based
power plant for captive purpose.
The project is to be funded through debt and internal accruals.
