Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) on 3 April 2010 inked a JV deal with Taiwan's
TSRC Corporation and Japan's Marubeni Corporation for setting up a 1,20,000
tpa styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) manufacturing facility at Panipat in Haryana.
IOC will hold 50 per cent equity in the project, TSRC 30 per cent and
Marubeni 20 per cent. The project is to entail an outlay of Rs 900 crore and
will use butadiene feed from IOC's Panipat naphtha cracker complex. The plant is
to be completed by September 2012.
