The Andhra Pradesh Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (APRWSS) project is
likely to be launched at Jammichedu village in Mahabubnagar district in Andhra
Pradesh by the state government.
The World Bank assisted project is likely to be implemented at an outlay of
Rs 864 crore. APRWSS is expected to cover six selected districts of
Visakhapatnam, Prakasam, Kadapa, Karimnagar, Mahabubnagar and Adilabad.
Meanwhile, the state government has asked the concerned officials to prepare
a master plan to provide safe and piped drinking water supply to all villages in
the state.
