Bajaj Hindusthan, the ethanol and sugar manufacturing company, is expected to
ink an MoU with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation for setting up a 1,980 MW coal
fired power plant in Lalitpur district soon.
UPPCL has identified about 250 ha for the proposed plant to be set up under
Case I of competitive bidding. The plant will comprise three units of 660 MW
totalling 1,980 MW.
Bajaj is expected to provide almost 90 per cent of the power generated to
UPPCL.
