BHEL in JV with APGENCO and Department of Science is likely to begin work on an integrated coal gassification combined cycle (ICGCC) power plant in Andhra Pradesh in June 2010.
The Rs 2,500-crore plant is likely to come up at Vijayawada. According to
sources, the design for the 182 MW plant has been complete. While BHEL's share
is by way of equipment, APGENCO is expected to provide land and the Department
of Science is expected to bring in funds.
