SKF India, a subsidiary of Sweden based AB SKF, on 7 April 2010 inaugurated
its third factory at the industrial estate of Haridwar to supply bearings to
Hero Honda and other auto manufacturers in Uttarakhand.
The factory entailed an investment of around SEK 250 million (approx Rs 150
crore) and utilises state-of-the-art machining technology to manufacture Deep
Groove Ball Bearings for the automobile sector. The unit spread over 10 acre has
a production capacity of 45 million bearings annually.
