The Taj Group of
Hotels has plans to join the consortium of five-star hotels in Mumbai, which
would set up a convention centre near the international airport in Mumbai.
Reportedly, the
other partners of the consortium are- Hyatt Regency, ITC Grand Maratha Sheraton
and Renaissance at Powai.
The consortium is
expected to approach the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to bid jointly for
the 18 acres land to build the convention centre.
Further, Indian
Hotels intends to launch a nightclub in North Mumbai by March 2003. The group
also has plans to set up two more restaurants in early 2003.
