Hindustan Power (HPL) has secured an order from SJVN for a 100 MW solar project to be set up along with a 200 MWh batter energy storage system (BESS).
The inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected project has been secured through a tariff-based competitive bidding, followed by a successful e-reverse auction.
The contract is a part of the 1200 MW solar PV power projects with 600 MW/2400 MWh Energy Storage Systems (ESS) to be set up anywhere in India. The project aims to ensure a reliable power supply, even during peak demand and when solar power generation is limited.
