Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has received a letter of acceptance (LoA) from East Coast Railway for the establishment of a wagon periodical overhaul (POH) workshop with a capacity of 200 wagons at Kantabanji in Odisha.
The contract is expected to be completed within 18 months from the date of commencement. The estimated cost, excluding GST, is estimated at Rs 201.23 crore, and the setting up of this workshop will support the growing demand for wagon maintenance and contribute to the overall improvement of the railway infrastructure in Eastern India.
This project aligns with RVNL's commitment to enhancing railway operational capabilities, even as the successful execution of this project will further strengthen East Coast Railway’s maintenance facilities and improve logistics operations.
