V P Cements is setting up a cement unit at Gundlakunta, Peddamudium, in YSR district of Andhra Pradesh.
The plant is being set up with an investment of Rs 2,000 crore. It will spread over 2,700 acre of land and will be implemented in two phases. Phase-I and Phase-II will include a cement unit of 3.2 million tpa, a clinker unit of two million tpa, and a 40 MW coal-based power unit each.
RV Consulting has been appointed as the consultant for the project.

• ToR granted
• Land acquisition and DPR preparation is underway
• Civil contractor and machinery supplier yet to be finalised
• V P Cements is awaiting environment clearance
• Work on the project is expected to commence by August 2015
