GMR Group's Adloor Yellareddy-Gundla Pochanpalli highway project in Andhra
Pradesh was opened for traffic on 26 March 2009.
The 102 km stretch Hyderabad-Nagpur highway was executed on BOT (Annuity)
basis with an outlay of Rs 700 crore. The concession period for the project is
20 years.
GMR's scope of work for this project included widening of the existing
2-lanes to 4-lanes, improvement, operation and maintenance, rehabilitation and
strengthening of the existing road. The four laning of the road will ease
traffic congestion and provide a tremendous boost to trade and commerce in the
region.
