ACC is moving ahead swiftly with its expansion drive.
Work on a new line of three million tpa of cement at Chanda in Maharashtra
along with a 25 MW captive power plant is on track and is slated to be completed
by third quarter of current fiscal.
The company is executing three projects viz. a residential township at its
plant in Kudithini, Karnataka; central control room in the upcoming Chanda
project and a hostel in the training establishment of Thane Complex.
Meanwhile, the company's Bargarh expansion project in Orissa has been
completed in April-June quarter of 2010, increasing the plant's installed
capacity to 2.1 million tpa. ACC commissioned a wind energy farm in March 2010
near Satara in Maharashtra set up with two turbines of 1.25 MW capacity each.
