Work on Africa’s tallest skyscraper, ‘The Pinnacle’ is underway and is expected to be completed by December 2019. The skyscraper will come up at Nairobi in Kenya.
The Kenyan President, Uhuru Kenyatta recently laid the foundation stone for the building.
The project will see twin glass-facade towers rise above the city; the larger standing 300 mtr tall.
The project is valued at USD 200 million. The project will be funded by Dubai-based investors Hass Petroleum and White Lotus Group, which are ploughing around USD 200 million into the project.
The contract to build the towers has been awarded to China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC).
The complex will house a 255 room Hilton Hotel. The towers will also include elite residences, business and leisure facilities, and a helipad on the roof of the taller tower.
