Alembic Pharmaceuticals has commissioned a new manufacturing facility for formulations in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, marking a strategic expansion in its business operations. The facility was established with an investment of approx.Rs 205 crore, funded through a mix of internal accruals and borrowings.

The company highlighted that the rationale behind setting up this facility was business expansion and the opportunity to move third-party products to in-house production.  Its existing multiple manufacturing facilities for formulations habe already been operating with optimal capacity utilisation. The addition of the new Pithampur facility is expected to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and support future growth.

By investing in new infrastructure and consolidating production, Alembic aims to improve operational efficiency and product availability. This development underlines the company's commitment to scaling its capabilities in a competitive pharmaceutical landscape while maintaining high standards of quality and supply chain management. .
