Alpex Solar has secured an order worth Rs 65 crore (excluding GST) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) for the supply of off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems (SPWPS).
This order, awarded under the Government of India’s PM-KUSUM B Scheme, is part of the "Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump" Yojana, aimed at promoting clean energy in agriculture. The solar water pumping systems will be supplied across various districts in Maharashtra, with the execution scheduled to be completed within 60 days. "This project marks a crucial milestone for Alpex Solar as it strengthens our position in India’s growing solar pump market," the company stated.
Solar-powered irrigation systems are increasingly recognised as key to sustainable agriculture by offering farmers reliable daytime power, reducing input costs, and lowering carbon emissions. This contract further solidifies Alpex Solar’s role in India’s decentralised renewable energy sector.
