1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Andhra Pradesh commissions 8,646 MW renewable energy capacity

Andhra Pradesh had an installed renewable energy (RE) capacity of about 8,646 MW till 31 March 2021. The state had an installed renewable energy capacity of about 8,534 MW till 28 February 2021.
 
Of the 8,646 MW capacity installed, wind energy projects took the largest share with 4,084 MW capacity, followed by solar energy with a capacity of 3,970 MW commissioned, according to the latest status report by the state’s nodal agency for implementation of RE programmes, the New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh.
 
During 2020-21, the total capacity of solar and wind projects commissioned stood at 439.45 MW. Out of this, solar and wind capacities were 436 MW and about four MW, respectively.
 
The state commissioned a total of 103 MW capacity till 31 March 2021 in small hydro projects, while biomass, biomass energy co-generation and bagasse projects contributed a total of 443 MW to the state’s renewable energy capacity. The share of municipal solid waste and industrial waste capacity stood at 47 MW till March 2021.
 
It added that the total renewable energy capacity commissioned up to 2019-20 in the state was 8,207 MW.
 
In July 2020, the state government had announced its renewable energy export policy applicable on solar, wind and wind-solar hybrid projects. Under this, the state was able to utilise potential land for setting up projects to export power to other states and in return, attract investments and generate revenue.
