Avantel, a prominent name in satellite communications and defence electronics, has launched its second facility in Hyderabad, significantly boosting its aerospace and defence capabilities.
Spanning 76,000 sq. ft., the new unit is dedicated to the design, development, and manufacturing of software-defined radios (SDRs), radar systems, and satellite integration. With an investment exceeding Rs 56 crore, this facility strengthens Avantel's strategic focus on indigenous technology development under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. It will also support the assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) of satellites and the creation of Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS) for real-time satellite data reception.
This expansion not only enhances innovation and operational efficiency but also plays a pivotal role in regional development, with expectations of generating over 300 direct employment, and more than 1,000 indirect work opportunities in Telangana.
