Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for EPC package for Amarkantak Thermal Power Station (TPS), Chachai Unit-6 (1x660 MW) in Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh.
BHEL will be responsible to execute the engineering, manufacture, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning works, covering activities and services in respect of steam generator and auxiliaries, flue gas desulphurisation (FGD), aux boiler, biomass co-firing capability, ash handling system as well as complete Civil, structural and architectural works.
Awarded by Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company (MPPGCL), the work is valued at Rs 8,998.39 crore, and is to be completd 48 months.
