Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) marked a landmark moment in India’s clean energy journey as Sanjay Khanna, Director Refineries and Additional Chairman and Managing Director, flagged off the first tanker lorry carrying BPCL’s first generation bio ethanol.
Setting off from the Bargarh Bio Refinery to the IOTL Raipur depot under the Ethanol Blended Petrol programme, the dispatch reflects BPCL’s commitment to “Atmanirbhar Bharat” by strengthening domestic biofuel production. During his visit, MD Khanna reviewed the refinery facilities and appreciated the project and operations teams for their close coordination and timely execution that enabled this achievement.
The initiative highlights BPCL’s steady focus on innovation, sustainability and energy security, while contributing to long term economic growth and the broader vision of a Viksit Bharat for the country. It also reinforces sector leadership in accelerating India’s renewable fuel adoption.
