Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has invited bids for the appointment of a consultant for its lube oil base stock (LOBS) and lube oil blending plant (LOBP) at Bina Refinery in Madhya Pradesh.

The scope of the selected consultant will include the selection of licensor for the LOBS unit, conducting a detailed feasibility study to explore the opportunity along with getting an offer from the potential licensors for LOBS technology and carrying out cost estimate for the facility for the installation of LOBS, associated facilities including a lube oil blending plant.

BPCL is pursuing to put up a LOBS unit integrated with the hydrocracker unit (HCU) at Bina Refinery to produce high quality-premium grade base oils. The capacity envisaged for the LOBS unit is 200 KTPA. It is also proposed to put up a lube oil blending plant of 25 KTPA capacity. The last date for the submission of bids is 02 July, 2025.
