Legacy brand in the textile and suiting industries, BSL has recently launched its first cotton spinning unit in Bhilwara, Rajasthan. With a capacity of 30,000 spindles, the new unit will enable the production of 700 tonne of cotton yarn per month.

This addition is expected to augment the company's revenue by Rs 250 crore in the forthcoming fiscal year. The facility will create employment for an additional 200 people.

The brand will offer different counts ranging from 1/20, 1/30, 100 percent cotton yarn across combed yarn, carded yarn and siro spun yarn, which will be produced for commercial sale in both export and domestic markets.  The new facility is an extension of BSL’s strategy for expansion, and its diverse portfolio to tap into the extensive demand for cotton yarn and other cotton based products in India and overseas.

BSL has expanded its product range and offerings, which comprise pure wool and poly wool fabrics, ethnic wear, and Jacquards, especially for the domestic market, and launched a new brand, GH-Insignia focused on the luxury segment. It exports suiting fabrics to over 55 countries, as well as fabrics for curtains and upholstery. BSL operates through a dealer network across India.

The company is the exclusive supplier of furniture fabrics from South Asia for IKEA, with products available in 450 IKEA stores globally. The company also has two suiting brands, BSL and Geoffrey Hammonds (GH), operating in the mass market and premium segment respectively.
