The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a tender for the rehabilitation and strengthening of the existing service roads, along with the construction of new service roads and RCC drains, on the Surat-Vapi section of NH-48 in Gujarat.
The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work valued at Rs 458.89 crore, will span km 263.00 to km 381.00, and also include the overlaying of the main carriageway and other ancillary works to improve the infrastructure. The selected contractor will be required to complete the work within one year. Additionally, the contractor will be responsible for maintaining the project for five years post-completion. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the road network on NH-48 to improve traffic flow and ensure better connectivity between Surat and Vapi.
The closing date for submission of bids is 16 March, 2026.
