The Department of Handloom & Textiles, Karnataka, has invited bids for the development of a textile park in Raichur Taluk, located at Survey No. 928, covering approx. 15 acres.
The selected bidder will handle the development, operation, and maintenance of the park under a public-private partnership (PPP) model for a 30-year concession period. The project will require the establishment of common infrastructure, including a compound wall, wide roads for 40-ft. container truck movement, drainage and sewage treatment systems, water supply, power supply and a common effluent treatment plant. Additionally, amenities like a testing laboratory, design centre, exhibition space, warehousing, raw material depot will be included.
