Realty developer Birla Estates, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aditya Birla Real Estate has acquired a land parcel covering 70.92 acres in Boisar in Maharashtra for Rs 104.3 crore.
The company is likely to come up with a township project as multiple infrastructure projects are in the pipeline in this region. Boisar falls under Palghar district and is approx. 100 km from Mumbai. The 508 km-long Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train will pass through Boisar.
In September, the company concluded the deal to acquire over 24.5-acre land parcel in Kalwa locality of Thane from Hindalco Industries through Ekamaya Properties, a wholly owned subsidiary of Birla Estates. Prior to this, the developer had acquired the ownership rights of around 10-acre leasehold land parcel in Worli, Mumbai from Wadia Group Chairman Nusli Wadia for Rs 1,100 crore.
