Calderys has commissioned a new basic monolithics production line at its state-of-the-art facility in Odisha.
This move is part of the company's strategy to enhance its footprint in India and neighbouring markets, particularly within the iron and steel sectors. The new line complements the acidic monolithics line that launched earlier this year. The plant spans 45 acres and will include six production lines to support industries like steel, cement, and petrochemicals.
The Odisha facility aims to reduce import dependence, create employment, and strengthen local supply chains. Michel Cornelissen, President and CEO of Calderys, highlighted the project as a significant step in the company’s growth plans. The facility is expected to begin full-scale production in late 2026, bolstering the country's self-reliance in advanced materials and contributing to India's 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Make in India' initiative.
