Hi-Tech Pipes has announced the foundation laying of its greenfield manufacturing project in Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh, near Bengaluru.
The project aims to expand the company’s capacity to produce value-added coated steel products. With an investment of Rs 100 crore, funded through internal accruals, the facility will have a production capacity of 1,50,000 tonne per annum (TPA) and will serve customers in Southern and Western India. The new facility is set to enhance logistics efficiency and improve delivery timelines. The project is expected to be completed by Q2/FY28.
This expansion is part of Hi-Tech Pipes' broader strategy to increase total capacity to two million tonne per annum (MTPA), with ongoing brownfield and greenfield developments. The company currently operates with an installed capacity of 0.75 MTPA, with a utilisation rate of 66 percent.
