The Central government has launched redevelopment of Kasturba Gandhi Marg GPRA project in New Delhi.
The residential complex is to be constructed at the site by Central Public Works Department (CPWD) at a cost of Rs 2,428 crore in two phases. The state-of-the-art low-carbon footprint redevelopment project will have 30 percent green cover for which no trees will be felled.
Organic waste composts, harvesting systems, rooftop solar panels of 800 kW capacity, and MBBR technology-based sewage treatment plants will be put in place.
