Country Colonisers, a subsidiary of
the Chadha Group, is planning to invest Rs.600 crore for developing a mega
township WestEnd Estate at Mohali in Rupnagar district of Punjab.
The project to be spread over 200
acres of land will be implemented in three phases. In Phase I, the company will
invest Rs.200 core and around Rs.300-400 crore will be invested in Phase II and
III.
The company has acquired 150 acres for
the project and the process of acquisition of the rest of the land is underway.
The township will include villas, plots and apartments with different levels of
specifications.
This will be the company's first
housing project in Punjab and the group is planning to build townships in Patiala, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Amritsar and Ludhiana. The group is also planning
to invest another Rs.100 crore to build its second mall at Mohali. The group's
first mall that is under construction in Ludhiana is scheduled for completion by
April 2007.
