Chunabhatti is emerging as a suburb with excellent real estate potential. This comes after Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority’s (MMRDA’s) announcement of the proposed 1.6 km BKC - Priyadarshani (EEH) elevated road to change the landscape of this inner suburb.
This Rs 200 crore road project will connect to Bandra-Kurla-Complex. It will be three to five minutes from BKC and will reduce the total distance by three km, saving 30 minutes driving time to Sion. It will unclog the entire congested Sion-Dharavi stretch.
On each day, around two lakh commuters are expected to use the road. With this proposed project, it will make Chunabhatti centrally located from all directions. This will increase the business, commercial and residential value of Chunabhatti. The real estate sector will especially benefit from this elevated road.
The most critical issue for potential future real estate development in and around Mumbai is connectivity and transportation.
Chunabhatti also has Mono Rail connectivity, and being on the harbour line, it connects with other outer suburbs of Mumbai and Thane.
