Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal has inaugurated Cremica Food Park located at Singha village in Una, Himachal Pradesh, on 10 February 2019. This is the first mega food park of Himachal Pradesh.
The park has been constructed over 52.40 acre of land parcel at a cost of Rs 107.34 crore. The facilities, being created by the developer at Central Processing Centre (CPC) of this mega food park, include multi-crop pulping line with bulk aseptic packaging (24 million tpa), frozen storage (1,000 tonne), deep freeze, dry warehouse, QC laboratory and other food processing facilities.
The park also has a common administrative building for the office and other uses by the entrepreneurs. The mega food park will see an additional investment of around Rs 250 crore in 25-30 food processing units in the park. It will generate a turnover of around Rs 450-500 crore annually.
The park will create employment opportunities for 5,000 persons and benefit about 25,000 farmers. The park will boost the growth of the food processing sector.
