DLF, the largest real estate firm, plans to invest nearly Rs 3,500 crore in a new housing project in Gurugram over the next four years as it seeks to capitalise on strong demand for residential properties.
DLF will develop 'The Arbour,' a new 25-acre group housing project with five towers and 1,137 apartments. The company will develop an area of about 45 lakh square feet in this new project.
The project will involve 1,137 identical four BHK apartments, each measuring 3,950 sq. ft.
The company intends to launch multiple projects in Delhi-NCR, Chennai, and the Chandigarh tri-city region. DLF has licenced land parcels in these locations and will launch them after acquiring the necessary approvals.
DLF operates in two business segments: housing development and rental, in which it builds commercial projects (office buildings and shopping malls) and leases them to businesses and retailers.
Till now, DLF has built over 153 real estate projects totalling over 330 million square feet.
