Dabur India plans to invest over
Rs.250 crore in two years to ramp up capacities by 2010.
Besides a Rs.110-120 crore brownfield
expansion by March 2009, Dabur will set up a Rs.130-150 crore greenfield plant
in the next fiscal in one of the hill states to avail fiscal incentives.
Dabur, meanwhile, has slowed down its
retail expansion plans. It will now open only 5-6 health and beauty stores under
its 'Newu' brand as against an earlier target of 10-16 stores. The format of 'Newu'
has changed from an earlier average size of 1,200-1,500 sq.ft per store to
700-1,000.
