Dodsal Group bagged an order worth
$951 million (Rs.4,300 crore) from Qatar Petoleum for engineering, procurement,
installation and commissioning of common cooling seawater system at Ras Laffan
in Qatar.
The scope of work also covers design,
supply and commissioning of mega pumps and transformers with a combined power
requirement of about 120 MW. The common cooling seawater system to be
commissioned by Dodsal at Ras Laffan will cater to the needs of LNG trains at
Qatar Gas and Ras Gas and will also supply seawater to Q Power, to be used for
cooling and desalination.
Work on the project is scheduled for
completion within 20 months.
