The electrification work of the Delhi-Rewari railway track, which commenced on 12 August, 2017, will be completed in nine months.
Rao Inderjit Singh, Union minister of state for planning, laid the foundation stone for the project on 12 August, 2017.
The electrification project will be completed by L&T which has been given the contract for the work. The project is part of the Delhi-Ahmedabad rail electrification project. A total investment of Rs 593.97 crore will be made towards electrification of this track.
A traction substation will be set up at Garhi Harsaru junction, sectioning and paralleling posts at Patel Nagar and Rewari, and sub-sectioning and paralleling posts at Inchhapuri, Tajnagar, Gurgaon, and Shahabad Mohammedpur.
