French carbon fiber leader Epsilon Composite has established its Indian subsidiary, HindEpsilon Composite, to support India's power grid modernisation efforts.
Officially incorporated in October 2025 and headquartered in Chennai, the subsidiary will focus on manufacturing HVCRC composite core conductors, critical for enhancing the efficiency and resilience of power lines. This move aligns with India’s accelerating electrification programs and the "Make in India" initiative. Epsilon's expansion follows its involvement in key reconductoring projects in states like Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Assam.
With plans for a local production facility for composite cores and other high-performance composite parts, Epsilon aims to meet India’s growing demand for advanced power transmission solutions. The company is positioning itself as a key player in India's power sector, an essential market for its future growth.
