G R Infraprojects has emerged as lowest bidder (L1) to construct a passenger ropeway between Tarakote and Sanjichhat at Katra, Jammu & Kashmir. On 09 November, 2023, a financial bidding was opened for the tender invited by RITES on behalf of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB).
The work entails designing, engineering, construction, finance, operation and maintenance (O&M) of passenger ropeway between at Katra. The project, amounting to Rs 200 crore, is to be executed under build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) mode.
The concession period for the project is 33 years, including a three year construction period.
