The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is getting project report ready for the Smart City initiative.
The development authority has started installing CCTV cameras and the tender to set up integrated command and control centre (ICCC) has been floated. It expects that in a year, it will set up optical fiber backbone network within the GMDA boundaries.
A department of the urban local body has approved a proposal of implementation of CCTV surveillance system for Gurugram along with other Smart City initiatives.
The budgetary estimated cost for the main ICCC and the disaster recovery system is be around Rs 100 crore. It is estimated that around 4,000 CCTV cameras which will include day & night, IP based full HD box type and PTZ cameras will be required to cover the entire city.
The budgetary cost of supply, installation, commissioning and operations and maintenance for five years for this work is estimated all around Rs 40 crore.
