1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Gail's Myanmar reserves estimated at 5.7-10 tcf

GAIL (India) on 16 August 2006, declared that it has estimated reserves of 5.7-10 trillion cubic feet to 10 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in the three Myanmar discovered gas fields of Shwe and Shwe Phyu in Block A-1, and Mya field in Block A-3. The total estimated gas initially in place has been certified by consultants, Gaffney Cline & Associates.

GAIL along with consortium partners, Daewoo International Corpn, ONGC Videsh and Kogas are carrying out exploration activities in Block A-1 and A-3 in Myanmar.

The recently concluded feasibility study for field development has forecast that the three fields from A-1 and A-3 can produce about 16 mmscmd for 20 to 25 years. The first commercial gas production is expected to commence in mid 2010.

GAIL holds 10 per cent participating interest in the block, while 10 per cent is held by KOGAS, 20 per cent is held by OVL. South Korea based Daewoo International Corpn, the operator of the block, has 60 per cent participating interest.

GAIL holds participation interest in 12 exploration blocks, including two NELP-I blocks, six NELP-II blocks, two NELP-IV blocks and two 'Farm-in Blocks'. GAIL acquired farm in block A-1, Myanmar offshore, which has area of 3,885 square km with water depth between 50m to 200m.
