Godrej Properties (GPL), one of India’s top real estate developers, has announced the acquisition of a ~16-acre land parcel in Upper Kharadi, Pune. This marks the company’s second major land deal in the Kharadi–Wagholi corridor this month, pushing the cumulative estimated revenue potential from both developments to approx. Rs 7,300 crore.
The newly acquired land will be developed primarily into premium group housing and high-street retail. With a total developable potential of ~2.5 million sq. ft., the project is expected to generate estimated revenues of around Rs 3,100 crore. Strategically located in the rapidly growing Kharadi-Wagholi micro-market, the parcel offers strong connectivity to major commercial and IT hubs such as Viman Nagar, Magarpatta, and Hadapsar. In addition to its commercial advantages, the location provides access to robust social infrastructure, including reputed schools, hospitals, shopping malls, restaurants, and premium hotels—making it an attractive choice for homebuyers and investors alike.
With this acquisition, Godrej Properties continues its aggressive expansion in key urban markets and reinforces its presence in Pune’s high-demand real estate zones.
