Gurdaspur Co-op Sugar Mills is awaiting environmental clearance to set up its new sugar plant with a capacity of 5,000 tccpd at Paniar in Gurdaspur district of Punjab.

The unit will also include a 120 klpd ethanol plant and a co-generation power plant with a capacity of 33.65 MW.

The proposed unit will come up over 97 acres of land parcel.

According to the latest Projects Today updates, the basic construction work on the project has been started.
