Digital Cable and Broadband Internet Services provider, Hathway Cable and Datacom will set up a data and call centre in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The company is planning to foray into the city by making an investment of Rs 400-500 crore to roll out high speed broadband services.
The funding will be made through internal accruals. It will be the first city where the company will use end-to-end fibre solution using Gigabit Passive Optical Network Fibre to home (GPON FTTH) technology
It will provide direct and indirect job opportunities to over 1,000 people. The company plans to reach five lakh consumers in the city, over the next three years.
