Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) has awarded Tejas Networks an advance purchase order worth Rs 696 crore for a Pan-India router network. The contract is worth Rs 696 crore.
As part of this contract, the company will supply, install, and commission over 13,000 of its TJ1400 series next-generation access and aggregation routers for the nationwide deployment of a converged multi-service packet network.
The scope of work includes upgrading its Pan-India IP-MPLS-based access and aggregation network (MAAN) with routers.
The initial supplies and deployment are expected to be completed within 18 months.
