ITC’s Paperboards and Speciality Papers Division (ITC PSPD) is yet to get land for expansion project from the Andhra Pradesh Government.
The company is likely to invest around Rs 3,000 crore for the expansion project adjacent to its existing pulp and paper mills complex in Bhadrachalam in the state. The company is awaiting allotment of 1,000 acre adjacent to the existing unit. Once this process is completed, ITC expects to secure necessary clearances for the expansion. This is part of the company's plan to augment the plant's capacity. It has taken up massive social forestry initiative to secure the raw material required for the expansion.
